A striking interpretation of the metamorphosis that weaves its way through this collection, the Inez dress expresses the theme through a spectral fusion of florals, entwined at the waist for elegant definition. Enhancing the silhouette, oversized blooms and moth wing embellishments adorn the semi-sheer Italian tulle, overlayed atop a classic column style, rendered in hand-beading and appliqué embroidery.
Florals are given a gothic reinvention in the Inez story, bringing an enigmatic moodiness, a fresh take on the typically feminine heritage aesthetic — realised through intricate stitch embroidery. A contrary attitude perfectly illustrated by one of the collection’s muses: fellow West Country dreamer, the author Daphne du Maurier.
Designed exclusively in-house, the embroidery and beadwork placement is carefully considered for perfect composition, then hand-stitched by artisans on a soft tulle base, crafted on lace warp knitting machines in Italy.
